Google+ Hangout On Air: Policies for Healthy Social Participation

March 4, 2013

I participated in a Google+ Hangout On Air moderated by Kathi Brown Sunday night, with Chad Hermann, Chris Boyer, Dan Goldman and Reed Smith — Dan is in-house counsel at Mayo Clinic responsible for social media policies, and Chris, Reed and I (in addition to holding down our day jobs) are members of the External Advisory Board of the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media. Chad is the communications director for Kids + Pediatrics, a pediatric group practice.

Update 3/4/2013: Kathi has posted some highlights/takeaways and links to all of the panelists' online outposts.

Comments and questions on the format and content are more than welcome.

The perils of #AI, Part 947: When the layers of value and meaning packed into a piece of writing as an artifact are hollowed out and stripped away, what are we left with, really?

We used to consider writing an indication of time and effort spent on a task. That isn't true anymore.
