The future of retail clinics was the subject of a recent article in Supermarket News. In speaking with managing editor Christina Veiders, I noted that there is a real need to diversify the services offered by retail clinics — in whatever the setting — and partner with established health care brands (e.g., local health systems), since their growth and volume have not kept pace with early projections. This creates a new patient-marketing channel for health systems, too, and some have been quite successful at it.
